Services and pricing
The services, pricing and session inclusions are those specified at the time of booking or purchase. Times are shown in America/Vancouver.
Travel and service area
For in-home visits, the first 15 driving kilometres are included. Additional travel is $1.25 per kilometre, rounded up to whole dollars per home visit; Mission travel is capped at $10 per visit. The address must meet the service-area and availability checks shown before payment.
Training and your dog’s care
We use positive reinforcement to teach and strengthen useful skills and build confidence. We adapt sessions to your dog’s needs, comfort and pace, with breaks as needed. We explain the recommended methods and equipment and do not use pain, fear or intimidation. Please share relevant health, behaviour and bite history, tell us about changes, and raise concerns about an exercise before continuing. Training does not guarantee a particular outcome or replace veterinary care. If a concern falls outside the service we can provide, we will discuss a different plan or referral with you.
Cancellation, rebooking and refunds
Life happens! Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rebook. If something unexpected comes up, contact hello@pixiedustdogtraining.ca as soon as you can so we can discuss the options. Refund requests in extraordinary circumstances are considered case by case.
If we attend your scheduled appointment and no one is available, the missed appointment is non-refundable. Please contact us as soon as possible if an unexpected situation prevents you from attending. This applies to the missed appointment, not automatic forfeiture of the whole package.
If the trainer needs to cancel because of illness, weather or another issue, we will arrange a new time without a rescheduling penalty. Refund requests in that situation are discussed individually.
Privacy Notice
Pixie Dust Dog Training collects guardian/contact details, booking/payment references, dog and household information, relevant health/behaviour history, intake updates and training records to arrange services, prepare and deliver training, communicate with you, manage safety and maintain business records. Please share information relevant to the service and avoid unnecessary personal information about other people.
The website uses Cloudflare for hosting and durable records, Stripe for payment processing, Google services for addresses/calendar and Resend for service email. These providers may process information outside Canada. Card details are entered into Stripe’s checkout; the intake record stores payment references rather than card numbers. Access to saved intake records is restricted to authorized trainer access and the individual intake link. Keep that link private and contact us if it needs replacing. Operational failure alerts omit intake answers and private access links.
Dog/training records are kept for at least three years after services end. Records may need to be kept longer for applicable legal, accounting or dispute requirements. We review records for deletion or anonymization when they are no longer needed. Contact hello@pixiedustdogtraining.ca to request access, correction or deletion, discuss consent withdrawal, or raise a privacy concern. We verify identity before disclosing or changing records and explain any retention obligation or other limit affecting a request. Optional veterinary-record permission and optional public-media permission remain separate choices.
We use browser session storage to carry your booking details and private access information between steps. This normally lasts for the browser tab’s session, although restoring a browser session may retain it. Stripe’s separate payment checkout and Cloudflare security features may use cookies to process payments and help prevent fraud or abuse. This website does not use advertising or analytics trackers.
Optional public media permission
Public media permission is optional and unchecked by default. If agreed, Pixie Dust Dog Training may take and share training photos or short clips of your dog, with their first name, on its business website and social media, without approval of each image. This excludes identifiable people, consultation recordings and videos shared privately for feedback. Declining does not affect training. Email hello@pixiedustdogtraining.ca to withdraw permission for future use or request removal from channels controlled by the business. Previously reshared third-party copies may be outside the business’s control.
Your record
The booking records your acceptance of these service terms and privacy notice, the document version and a server timestamp. Your intake records your submitted answers, choices, typed name, document version and save time. Updated intakes are saved as new versions. Keep your individual link private; you can return to review or update your intake. You can save or print this notice for your records.
