Understanding Your Dog

Every dog has their own experiences, and behaviour can mean different things in different situations. These questions help us prepare for your consultation and identify situations where we may need to discuss your dog's needs before booking.

Please answer based on what you know. It's fine if you don't know your dog's full history. If you're unsure, select ‘Not sure’.

Does your dog show fear, discomfort, or behaviour that concerns you in particular situations?

For example, around unfamiliar people, other animals, food, handling, or new environments.

To the best of your knowledge, has your dog ever bitten or made tooth contact with a person or another animal?
Has your dog ever been involved in an incident with another animal that resulted in an injury requiring veterinary attention?
Has animal control or a bylaw officer ever been involved in an incident concerning your dog?

Preparing for the session

Is there anything about your dog's behaviour that might make an in-home visit or interaction with an unfamiliar person difficult?

For example, fear of visitors, difficulty settling around strangers, or discomfort with being approached.

Thank you for sharing this information. Some situations benefit from a conversation before we arrange training.

We'd like to learn a little more about your dog's experiences and what you're hoping to work on. This will help us determine whether one of our current training services is appropriate or whether another approach would better meet your dog's needs.

Some situations require more specialized assessment and support than our standard packages provide. We'll discuss any differences in services or fees before you make a commitment.

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or rebook. Life happens—contact us promptly if something unexpected happens. If I attend your scheduled appointment and no one is available, the missed appointment is non-refundable.
